so I believe my pump went out. It has been making noise when the weather is cold but when its warm its fine. well today it is warm and all of the sudden when turning I makes a nasty metal grinding noise and it feels like the car has no power steering. Its the pump right? So next question is (I have searched) what is the part number or year reference of the pump I need for my 1jz? thanks alot. I need a answer soon because this is my daily driver and need it for work. Thanks guys. Blake

 

2jzgte power steering pump will work.. i've also read on supra forums people using a 2jzGE powersteering pump and using some fittings off the 2jzgte to make it useable ..

sounds like your power steering pump to me though.. was it whining alot before it went out?
