Code P0510: TPS Problem
I have a 1997 SC300. The check engine light popped up shortly after I bought it with the code P0510 (Throttle Position Switch Malfunction). I assumed it was a bad TPS sensor so I bought a replacement one from Autozone figuring that was the problem. The code still pops up after about 80-100 miles, ive tried adjusting it and it still has the same issue. Has anybody ran into this problem? I tried using the search key and couldnt find anything that helped. I dont know what to do next.

I visually checked the wiring, what I can see anyway and that looks good. Does anybody know how much voltage the TPS should be putting out?

More than likely you have to reset the TPS to the ECM....You prolly have the TPS adjusted wrong at idle and its not seeing it off throttle. You need to get a service manual and adjust it with a volt meter.
