I got my car back few days ago, still need to go back to body shop to get more work done to it. It is up and running. 99 VVTI motor with 5 speed tranny in a 92 SC300. I put may be about 50 miles on it, the car feel completly diffrent now..




my orginal plan was just to make it all show no go.. but I change my mind last month after seeing a friend with a 1jz in his old supra.. so I pick up a VVTI 1JZ motor with ECU and harness w/5speed from a 97 Soarer...



well. after I got the motor I kinda change my mind and had some crazy idea.. thinking about putting the RB26 out of my GT-R into this car..

I bought another SC I was going to build that one too.. I pretty much went out and bought enough parts to build 2 or 3 SC.. I got Auto couture kit, 97+Wald kit, 3 set of 97+ conversions, wide fender, couple set of suspesions, exhaust, crap here and there.. I know I probably never gonna have time to do all that so I think for now I will just focus and finish this one car make it simple and just be happy. So now my new plan for this car is just stock body, new paint job, Wald kit and nice set of wheels and I'm done.

No more crazy ideas!!!!

where did you get the WALD kit from i thought they were discontinued? i asked and asked and couldnd get and answer. I made out in the end with my custom 97+ front but dang. Your build sounds great though carry on.

I wanted the same set on my 1GS, but the cost of the wheels was close to the cost of the car. ('92 GS in '99)

I say paint them the same color as the car, or go high polish face.

Up to you what ever you do, but damn nice choice in wheels.!!!!

I got it from Japan, it is the 97+ Wald front lip, side skirt and rear bumper. I use to have a 92-96 full front bumper but I didn't like it so I got rid of it. I think you can still find them new in Japan for pretty cheap. Try google! Good luck

I probably won't use the HRE anymore since I'm not going wide body, beside this set I actually had a set of Work Equip 19x11 front and 19x13.5 rear as my back up wheels for this car if I go wide body. But I decide that's too much so I'll probably use my normal offset TE37 on the stock body after the car is painted
