i'm planning on converting to a gated shifter assembly from a 00' sc4. as of now, i believe i only need the actual shifter assembly with its wiring and plugs along with the shift ****. my question is, do i need the cluster to match the gated shifter along with the 00' harness??

in all...am i game with just the shifter assembly (along w/ wires and plugs) and shift ****? or do i need the 00' cluster and 00' dash harness to accurately display gear positioning?

There are three really good threads on the conversion. Off the top of my head there seems to be more than what you have listed.

I would look for those threads to get the full story on it.

you need the shifter, shifter bezel, and shifter harness.

Also the 00 has a 5spd tranny where everything before 98 had a 4 spd. so the cluster s display might be different. Just a heads up

You do not need to change the cluster or change the dash harness to make this work. If done properly, the gated shifter will work for any cluster for any year.
