You guys may find this funny, the other day it was getting late and i got bored so i grabbed my yellowed out headlights and some stuff. Well all i had was mothers aluminum polish and my 90 degree die grinder (3" sanding wheel). So I took a rag and folded it up, then wrapped it around the grinder and taped the rag around the wheel. Took the mothers and spread it out over the lights. Then at 15000 rpm, I went to town on those things. It came out alot better then i thought it would, just i noticed the chrome is gone on the drivers side so the passenger one looks like new, and the pass is just kinda clean but dull. I'll take pics of those things when i get back in the shop.
Started this way, one main hoop and one A pillar bar fitted.
Yes its that close
Added other side then the top bar
Then made some braces
And tacked them in
Then some for the front
Then welded the bottoms
Made some holes to drop the cage down under the base plates to weld the top sections in,
after the bottoms, pulled the base plates out and dropped the cage down to weld the tops.
Didnt get too much done today. Was on the phone alot trying to get parts and such.
Added the rear bars,
Goes into the rear, trying to tie as much of the frame rails as possible
Then made some cool under fender tie ins
They go from the front legs of the cage to the under area of the shock towers
Then an evo came back from storage, I did the cage and it went out to paint, then went into storage till they had time to put the rest of the car back together. Here's some pics,
