Yes please, I am looking into DDM Tuning HID kits. If anyone is running DDM please post reviews/pix. I am debating with 4300k or 6000k. I want a light purple tint NO blue. Thanks!

Ya you need like 8000k+ for purple. But having a bulbs that high in color temp will result in less usable light then the stock halogen bulbs.

Also watch this vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32hYjQ84aJ8
It's pretty obvious how blue 6000k is. Plus if u look cloosely you can see the light output drop from not having 4300k.

BTW I should add(I think someone else said it too). Since our sc's have projectors, were going to get that oem bmw/benz blue cut-off line.

I think if a lot of us go here http://www.jaguarforums.com/m_37698/tm.htm

it will help explain a lot of our questions and also give some great reference pictures.

I run ebay 5000ks on my ride. I built a power relay with a capacitor that eliminates flickering and pulls juice directly from the battery. Its the part that most of the shops like ddm tuning charge for because almost all of them use Chinese kits. Costs about $15 in radioshack parts.

I had 6000ks and they were REALLY blue. To the point it looked fake. Anything above 4300-5000k or so look fake and 8000k is getting pretty lame. Its much akin to getting LEDs on your windshield washer nozzles at that point

Its either going to be dark blue or blue-purple.

6000k already looks like pure light blue.

There is nothing available for the cornering lights as far as plug and play HID kits. You will have to use your imagination and custom fab something.

For everyone else who are looking to get an HID set for a really reasonable price, get something with a warranty. You will most likely need it before it expires.

So Ive got my DDM HID kit the other day and plan to install this weekend. I got the DDM version plus upgrade to 55w that came close to 90bucks with shipping/tax. When I got them, there was no instructions no receipt stating what I receive is what I ordered. The only thing that I could go by was the UPS notification that was sent by email stating that my shipment was from Apexcone(sp) and I know on DDM site they are selling those versions for 10bucks cheaper.

I called DDM and they said since the ballast had a DDM logo that it was the upgraded 55w version but did not stat it was the DDM HID kit since there was no indication. So did I get the DDM upgraded ballast but an Apexcone kit/bulb? Did I get ripped off 10bucks or Im I thinking into this too much because of the UPS email stating shipment by Apexcone warehouse instead of DDM?

FYI I placed my order on Dec. 17th thinking I would get them by X-mas, just got them yesterday LOL I guess business is really good for them to be this backed up. I'll take pictures once I have them installed.

does it work or not? if it works who cares about 10 bucks. If your buying an hid kit someone is making a profit off you anyways.
