I always tilt mine and only open the filler panel a couple inches. It's perfect.

I have my sunroof tinted, its has saved my head and allowed a little extra air flow.

honestly i am happy i have a sunroof now lol but i come from the miata community so it the extra breeze...

this seems like a bit of work to little to no benifit IMO...

i guess this is another idea...

i had a buddy of mine with a BMW e30 cut out some plexy glass and use silicone and rivited it on the top and just tinted it..but he has a full track car tho so its not very nice looking but gets the job done.

When I go for the sunroof delete, I'm going to make the fill panel removable, maybe even have an opaque fill piece, and a clear one. Thing is, I've got 2 SCs, a good condition one, and a semi rough one.

The rough one is getting the mods, the good one will remain just that, Good!

Lexpert, when you get a chance to do it, be sure to weigh that complete assembly and let us know.

I know it doesn't seem like much, but its the best place to drop weight. I've been contemplating how to do a clean job of ditching the sunroof as well.

I was thinking about cutting a panel out of aluminum and welding on some brackets that could slide beneath the roof panel.

I've done little stuff like pulled weight out of the back, battery, a few things underhood, a c/f hood and trunk, and light weight smaller (18 compared to 19") volks, and lightweight seats and dropped over 150+ lbs out of the car (per the scale). The car is more resonsive and traps about 2mph better.

I'm adding some weight back in with the v160 but I figured I'd like to combat that as much as possible where I can.

This car is so luxurious i think theres plenty of stuff to get rid of.Compare to supra i think we have an advantage, since everything we have is power......even that steering column.
Sunroof does have to go.

At the cost of the head liner if someone would make a C.F. panel with some brackets that bolt to the orig. sunroof brackets they could prob. sell 50ish.

love the profile of the car but want it to be light....consider a S14. Similar profile but it's smaller, lighter, 100x more agile than a SC will ever be.
