Default Water inside car

I have a '93 SC400 and while troubleshooting a "no volume" problem from the sound system, I was directed to look at two connectors under the rear seat. It was soaking wet under there and the underside foam of the seat was soaking wet. It shocked me because it was not apparent from just looking at the seats and so I had no idea there was a leak. Question is where is it coming from? The trunk is completely dry. Anyone have a similar experience? Thanks

My rear passenger window leaks towards the back. I dont know if that is a common place for a leak but check there. Best way is have some one run water over the back windows and you in the car looking to see where its coming from.

Could be coming from a number of places. Have you checked in the front under dash and on front floor boards?

Could be evaporator core leaking. Could be sunroof drain clogged and leaking too.

Did you read the post correctly? The evap core would have nothing to do with it. No place near the audio equipment. He didn't say there was water on the front floor boards. The only 2 places to look would be the rear window seals they go bad. The second place would be the sunroof because the drains get clogged and an leak from numerous places. Open the moonroof and see if there is leafs in there. Clean it out and see if the issue goes away. Since you live in Canada I would check for any rust inside the rear window area. My brothers SC has that issue so it would be good to check that out.

And if you read I also said check the sunroof drains as well.

In any event I was also saying while he was there to check if that was the only place that was wet. Sorry but guess Im more thorough than you and want to see if there were/are any other areas impacted or was it JUST the rear seating area.

I did read the last part I left it out cause I agreed with that. Just the other places on the front side of the car weren't close. He was saying the area in the rear where the water was. The stock amp is back there so that sounds more legit. He would have mentioned it if he was looking threw his car for other signs of water. Your just mention places that wouldn't be close to major components or near the radio head unit. Thats why I said that.

The SC's leak as bad as a damn corvette. The difference is when you fix the Sc it will stay fixed and not leak anymore.

Water under the rear seat is the rear sunroof drains (85%) or the rear window seal (15%). It also suggests you need to replace the sunroof seal. When closed, it should not pass so much volume of water.
