DeRiced My SC300
) and pulled a half car ahead as I was going sideways just to mess with him, figuring he would be smart enough to just drive off with a shriveled *****. After I shifted into third I just drove regular, he just kept on it for a about 5 more seconds after I was clearly not racing anymore. After he was done being gay, he slowed down looked over at me and said, "that turbo aint cuttin it!!!!" I laughed, rolled up my window and drove off.
Hey that was a great description. You know what it is some people like the real OEM look an some dont. But when you do a half as s job at first you make the bumpers look trashy. I like the more sleeper look with real power under the hood. I was going to get a side shot with it lowered an all but when i took the car out today, I thnk I destroyed the stock tranny plus now the car wont start. Dam n high performance motors. hahaha
hope you don't mind about the pic boost! Just tryin to prove a point.

The 97 bumper is plastic and seems durable. I scraped a few parking blocks and have not managed to break my 97 bumper. It's my understanding that fiberglass bumpers will crack and break easily.
Why don't they make any Vertex or JIC style kits that are made out of the same semi-flexible plastic type of material instead of fiberglass?

am just assuming the replicas aren't as good quality due to materials or fitment; i'm not sure how it is with kits for the sc, but initially it can be hard to tell which one is the rep and which one isn't; again, generally assuming that it becomes evident which ones are reps and originals after a few months of scraping and pounding.
either way, i'm all for quality products that fit well and don't shatter after one bump, brand name or not. didn't mean to come off as otherwise.

Replicas usually have gap issues since they are usually created from molds of originals and in worse cases, molds of replicas. Bad fitment usually comes from the fact that people that buy cheap kits, usually don't spend the money on a good shop to spend some time getting the fitment real tight.
I would say, with most fiberglass products you will have to do some prepping and modifying if necessary. Here's original wald side skirts pictured below, fitment wasn't too hot, but the front lip and rear bumper fit great. Usually these problems can be remedied with fiberglass and sanding. And in most cases you will need to do less work to an original part, and you still might have to do some modifying.

raceonusa wow thats a BIG gap its nasty. Were you able to fix it? Well I like the vertex kit but it cost just way to much about 2.5k? or rather spend 1k for it and use the other 1.5k for others..
