When I asked this, everybody said it would be about even....I really have no idea. I've driven a Q45, and it was pretty zippy...but that was a looong time ago, way before I had my SC.

i owned a 1990 Q45. I can say for sure that i would destroy an unmodified SC. I know that in '92 or '93 Infiniti changed powerplants and the car became very slow. I dont know about the new version of the car, but in 1990, it was a fast as hell car.

The 1990-1993 Q45's were practically muscle cars with 4.5 L 32 Valve V8 engines. 0-60 between an SC and Q45 would be close. At the quarter mile mark, the Q45 driver would have a gorgeous view of the SC headlamps in their rear view mirror.

The Q was tamed after 95 to try and make it more luxurious a la the LS 400. Hasn't been the same since.
