Default molded or custom carpet?

well my carpet is shot and i want to get a new carpet for the sc but where the hell can i find one? seems like only lexus has them but not the carpet people lol any clues?

Just get a used one and clean it. Look for one in the Classified section.

E-Bay.com.au. Look for Soarer carpet, specify left hand drive. I bought a set, looks good. Only thing I am not too mad about is the fact that it comes in front and rear bits, and there is a join.

eBay US has alot as well. Id check regularly as I had seen at least one posted per week. Never paid much attention to condition as I dont need one. Also look in Classified section in the forum there are some vendors there that might have some for sale as well.

Just make sure you know where it came from makin sure its not out of someone's car where it got wet or was a smoker. Trust me those smells are NOT gonna come out easy.

GET OEM !
those aftermarket never fit right, you have to trim all the edges.

thanks guys yeah ive seen those ebay ones before but not anymore i wonder how much an oem one is from lexus

it took me a while but I found a used oem on ebay. there is a ebay member in FL that sells alot of sc parts.

There's no such thing as a new molded carpet kit for our cars...Lexus will not release the molds.

If you can't find a nice used oem kit, then you're gonna have to get one made...that runs somewhere around $475, depending on where you go.

Prodeejay but i cant remember the rest of their name. I bought a few things from them, they are out of FL and where Ive seen the carpets.

I agree... Hit up ScottURnot, he's got the carpet in the classifeds for $75. I almost bought his carpet from his 97 SC but I ended up getting mine steam cleaned and it turned out really really good. I couldnt believe how much better it looked.

I couldnt find after market carpet for my sc and ended up dishing out 680 for oem black.....my *** still hurts.....and you can dye the carpet i already tried....it ended up purple...lol

Custom Take out your old one, buy the carpet style you want and simply trace it and it should be the same exact thing. We did this on my friends AE86 and it came out great.

It's obvious you have never had the carpet out of the SC.
They integrate some sort of foam/rubber into the carpet for fit and noise insulation. Good luck "simply tracing it"

there was another member that replaced his OEM carpet with new carpet from a roll. I cant seem to find the post, but in his pics the carpet looked really good. The only thing I remember him mentioning that the carpet had to be either at least 60" or 80" wide.

is your interior tan? i have carpet from my old interior that im selling... just not sure whut size box i would have to send it in if you were interested..it just needs a good cleaning before you put it back in
