water leaking under dash??
well today it rained pretty hard when i left to work this morning, (note i have the car for almost 2 years and it rained harder than this before many times). after the rain had stopped and it was lunch time, i went to my car and when i opened the door i notice a little puddle of water on my rubber floor mats. i didn't think much of it at first but when i realized that i never did stepped in the car while it was raining, it had me thinking..where is it leaking from, under the dash maybe? when i first drove off, there was water pouring down to my socks and shoes. got home and did a quick search but couldn't find it...anyone ever had this problem before or know what it might be??
uhmmmmm not sure on the SC at all, but many other manufacturers tend to have a problem where the sunroof drains plug up and it'll lead to water inside the car...I'd check those and make sure they aren't plugged up.
The sunroof drain holes are a common problem with the SC300/400 series. If they are plugged, water drains down into the interior and fills up the floorpan area -- but does not seem to come from the roof. The water travels down inside the pillars and comes out into the lower floor carpet area. Search for a prior post I made on how to clear the drain holes.
