Spark Plugs Gapping
Ok, so ive only had my sc for a little over a month, my first car, and im going to seafoam it, i got the oil, oil filter and everything i need for it, i picked up some copper NGKs just for while i seafoam it, then putting current ones back in, my friend is trying to tell me we need to gap the plugs, is that malarkey?
You should be fine for the amount of time you plan on doing it. If you let plugs go ungapped too long, on some vehicles that use ignition coils rather than plug wires you can have a misfire or in the very, very extreme have a coil wind up dead, but in your case shouldn't be an issue.
Are the plugs pregapped? If you want to be safe just check the measurement.
If they were pregapped and going to get fouled from the seafoam treatment anyways, I personally would just toss them in.
