Hey guys im new to lexus world and I was wondering if you guys could give me a hand with a few questions I have...
First off, I recently aquired a 96 sc400 with some trans problems. The car will go into reverse only... so I figured it was junk.
What transmission does this car have? I have heard that it is a 3040LE and a A340E.
I also read that the MK4 TT auto is a good swap with just a bellhousing swap.. So is that a 3040LE?
From what I understand the 3040LE was used in the MK3 and MK4 chassis? most places say from 86-93...
So when I find a auto trans from a JDM 2jz that someone is giving away will it work with a bellhousing swap?
