Default Has anyone had experience with RACEONUSA's knockoff kits?

I know that I'm going to get flamed for this, being as I don't have a whole lot of posts and I'm looking for a knockoff kit. I live in NYC and theres no chance that I plan to spend 2 grand on a kit that could crack potentially right away from these massive potholes so I have to go with whats best. I have heard some good things about raceonusa and their HIFLEX body kits.

http://www.raceonusa.com/index.asp?P...Category=13528

some of these kits look really nice (like the vertex and origin kits) but i'm curious if there are any fitment issues which obviously would be the main concern. If anyone has any experience with raceon's hiflex kits please do tell. I hear these kits have better fitment than the regular ones.

All knockoff kits fit funny. I don't know of any that fit perfectly.

You can potentially have fitment issues with even authentic kits..Wald, but if your gonna spend $700-$1000, you can get a authentic Origin kit for around $800. If you were leaning toward the vertex knock-off, you should consider the Version Select kit from here: http://www.tougefactory.com/aero.htm I've heard good thing's about there fitment.

I agree... All Knock off kits fit ****ty.

even the expensive ones like origin.

the only kit I have ever seen fit great out of the box was vertex.
I've never seen a wald kit or JP installation so they may fit well out of box.

but all cheap kits... forget about it.

not to say dont buy it. mine cost me 300 bucks and I wood screw and ziptie it on and then destroy it at the track so it works for me.

My experience with both the vega front lip and type 9 rear and side skirts and type 340 front bumper have been perfect fitment but for the type 9 you have to drill your own holes which is the different from the front bumper is all predone. Thing is,the vega lip is the only hi flex the rest was only fiberglass but i must say very high quality and thick.

You can check out the Aero Fitment sticky up top. I know there are quite a few members using RaceOn's products. If you're looking for feed back, thats where you'll find it.

i just bought a knockoff vertex wide body kit from raceonusa and henry was cool with me except for not having all the parts when i went to pick them up but he did get me my parts very quicky with no complains. The kit fitment is good of course not like the better kits. You must drill holes the align it up and the direction are the same for all panels. But for what i paid and for what i got no one would be able to tell the difference. thumbs up

You get what you pay...And that also depends if you're a perfectionist or not. The RaceOn kit is worth for its price and quality and the original kit has its own value. You can't expect a $700 value to be the same as a $1500 value.

Granted, this is just my opinion but if you're already coming close to $1k, why not just wait a bit longer and save for the original?
