I'm not sure you wanna do that either. I have, and they are damn near impossible to keep together. If it isn't melting sold points from the amperage, it's cold solder joints from the heat and humidity. Even those pretty 2k tails have reported defects- out of the two people that own them.

Here's a few pics from back in '04 with just half the capacity they are capable of holding and they were killing solder joints right and left.

hmm. looks like there aren't many alternatives to folks that have blacked out lights to help visibility.

perhaps I should go back to the stock tails

Correct OLT, but since then we've redesigned Deron's lights and extended his warranty for 2 years. The new design is solid and we're proud to stand behind our new (and old) work. If any of our other older customers are experiencing problems with their lights, please contact us.
