Default Alignment problems

My alignment guy says he can't get any more adjustment out of the right rear of my sc400.

It's running at 2.5 degree negative camber. He says he can't get more adjustment out of it. I'm looking for 1 degree negative so I don't chew up tires as bad.

Anyone care to comment?

I picked up the car from Les Swab where the monkey's screwed it all up. Didn't record my original settings and quit on my alignment halfway through.

I dropped the car off at the dealer with the Lance Alignment specs...
Front:

*

Camber - 1.0 degrees
*

Caster + 5.0 degrees
*

Toe 0.00 mm

Rear:

*

Camber -1.5 degrees
*

Toe in (total) 1.00 mm

(on 255/40R17 tires this rear toe equates to .090 deg, i.e. .045 deg per side)
(on 275/40R17 tires this rear toe equates to .088 deg, i.e. .044 deg per side)

The Front and Rear Toe are critical to tire wear, even small deviations from spec may cause unusual wear patterns or excessive wear.

They should get to it tomorrow. We'll see how it goes and how close the Toyota guys can get it to these specs. It's just the area I live in. In humboldt county its almost impossible to get quality work done, let alone they're always going to be late doing it.

If you don't mind a drive to Sacramento, you can have Jake at Radial Tire Service do your alignment, and if it is possible to get it right, he will. I developed those specs with Jake's help a long time ago.

Lance (yes, the "Lance" in "Lance Alignment")

Much obliged.

I'm actually in the greater Sacramento area right now, but unfortunately we're dealing with much larger problems then my alignment at the moment. My girlfriend's mother Patrice, who has been battling LMS cancer for the past 2 years, is now dying. It's been a very trying time for us all, but the family unit is strong and we've all united to be there for her in her last days to make it as peaceful as it can be.
