Default 1jz water pump question

doing a timing belt and water pump on my 1jz right now......got everything taken apart....the question is regarding which water pump to use. i have a 2jzTT pump, which i found several posts on here which said that was the pump to use.

everything looks nearly idential on the 2 pumps except that the 1jz pump had a male tube coming off of it with an 0-ring that fed into the coolant outlet direclty above it and the 2jz one that i have has a female port there instead of the male tube.

do i need to use th 2jz outlet on the head as well? or is this the wrong pump? it doesnt appear that the male tube is able to come out of the old pump.

This is an old post, but I know the answer. You need to remove that small bypass tube from your old water pump. It has 2 identical pressure fit o-rings.

Install new orings, and install it into the new pump.
