Looking at the pic he didn't go from the mani just a lil bit before the cat and just a lil bit after the cat. Sounds like a good mod. I really don't think this would affect emissions that much. I wonder if anyone has done this on the 400. Now I kinda wanna do this. You do still have the stock mufflers correct?

 

Correct. Next mod is 2.5 y pipe into dual 2.25 magnaflows. I may gut the manifold cat but it might be too loud.

It will in it's current state, if I gut the cat and add a mechanical 02 sim (spark plug defouler) it should pass the obII test which they do near me.
