I haven't posted here in a couple months. Ever since CL made that switch in early January and it wanted me to restart my computer...pshhh that doesn't happen. I finally did though, so I've been reading up on you guys and your wild new crazy things. Keep it up while I enjoy my BMW life for now

As for the thread: Indypwr and Howiedoit come to mind, I think Howie's thread on trunk shock replacement still gets a couple hits per day. And Indy's car was just sick nasty.

My parents just bought a house on the lake in Harrison. They will try to get me to move soon and I'm just wondering if you could P.M. me about how you like the area.. I'd be coming from sunny south Florida.. I still have my sc300 and added a CBR600RR to the garage.

 

What ever happen to STREET KING!!?? I think he still got one of the baddest SC out there

 

You won't need a PM for this........ you'll be bored as hell, the sheriffs office spends 68% of their labor force on hwy 58 (no speeding), and the only thing that'll keep you occupied is your uncles jet ski's. I moved 34 miles to the west out of harrison

Oh god no, the dreaded what I figured... I'd be working at home and could move anywhere, it's if I don't move i'll be family less in Florida. What area would you look at houses in? I know highway 58 sucks, I figured I'd be a target on my new shiny white bike, will they chase you in TN? hah. How bad do the winters get? How many months out of the year would you say I could ride my motorcycle? Get this, I pay $1200 a month right now to rent a one bedroom apartment in south florida, I know that i could probably buy a 4-5 bedroom home for that in that area, is that correct Brian? Any decent colleges near by or any where to go to meet some local people in the area? I might come stay for 3 weeks or so this summer and bring some motorcycles up just to see how I like it. Any advice, input, is appreciated. I thought about it the other day and couldn't think of a better person to ask..

You're going to want to be in east brainerd. Apt's in the $700 range, houses for rent in the 850-1300 range. 7 months of bike I would say, but there are rain months. I rode my rocket in the winter on 58, though. Depends on how cold you can handle it. University of Tennessee (at chattanooga) 10 miles away.

I quit my last job that was 100% travel so I have more time now. I have lived in 16 different locations in the last 8 years.

My SC300 went away and my SC400 was sold last November. That was the last of my Gen1 SCs. I have had a SC430 for 4 years now and still love it. I post mostly there when online. I just went to my first meet in a along time.

Oddly enough I don't really have pics of my car. Here is one from this weekend. I have the silver SC430 next to RMMGS4s' cars.

It's my daily beater so it has just the basics:

HRE 540R 19x9.5 fronts with 275s ... pretty meaty for fronts
HRE 540R 19x11 rears with 295s ... all wheels are completely flush
Stoptech 14" front brakes and drilled rotors in front and back ... my favorite mod ... SC430 stock brakes are mushy
Modded Tein CS coilovers made to be Tein Flex coilovers (Flex does not exist for the SC430 so I had to have them put together)
