Stupid Winter Roads!
Coming home tonite right after posting pics of the sc400 with my Evo rims on a thread saying how much I love the rims, I leave work and start coming home on US30. Not on the road for 2 mins and hit a pretty nasty chuck hole. At the next light I jump out real quick to see if I had an issue with the left front. The tire was full on pressure, I jump back in continue home and after 5 miles I slow down to a light and feel *Thump Thump* pull over and find out that it blew my tire out and bent the rim pretty badly. Really pissed off about the fact cause my other car is in the shop till next week and I had to pull a stockie with hardly ne tread from storage. Not sure what im gonna do but here is the wheel. Ne one give me an idea of who I have to call about seeing if the state or city can pay for a new rim?

This winter has been hell on my cars. Im gonna go take pics of the pot hole tomorrow before it is fixed.

Yea, its been a bad winter for us Midwesterners...Ran out of salt, plows, the fact that its cheaper for roadway commissions to use cold patch asphalt and a hand tamp to patch holes. Wintertime comes, road contracts with the frost and cold patch patches get lifted and plow blades eat them up.
No fun!!!!
It will be worse next year...all the new pot holes will be cheaply maintained (patched) and the cycle starts again.
There is a guy who came up with a way to take recycled tires and blend them into hot asphalt. This prevents the expansion and contraction with the change of seasons and adds life to the roads...its just really expensive.

That really sucks, just some bad luck. Too many damn potholes on interstates and messed up roads, in general. What are we paying taxes for?
Well, if it makes you feel any better, I found out while I was having the wheels I just bought balanced that three of the four wheels are bent. I was thinking that the wheel balance would fix the problems I was having (bumpiness/vibrations) and then I hear that news... The wheel balance did fix most of the problem but I think the bends still cause a little bumpiness and vibrations. The two front tires lose air and I have to put air in them every few days.
