Maybe something is wrong with the power steering system.

On the basis of this suggestion - try turning the steering wheel when it is making the noise and see if it gets louder/quieter.

Are you leaking fluids/smoking anything?

the only thing will quiet the noise is if i rev it it will stop but once it goes back to idle it keeps doing, theres no smoke comming from the engine or anything, the check engine light is on. and i tried moving the stering wheel and stuff but that dosent help it either.
