I had a similar problem, though it wasn't so much bucking...it would stutter pretty bad when I slowed from like 50 to 40, and it also stuttered whenever i'd accelerated from a dead stop. Mine doesn't sound as bad as yours, but kinda similar...I seafoamed it through the pcv line though and all the problems went away

yeah, today on Interstate 4 was almost comical...I mean it was pissin me off but looking back it was comical. The thing was VIOLENTLY bucking anytime I'd stop accelerating and barely let off the gas...I mean it was like a bronco.

One ray of hope though is I finally pulled the code from my intemrittent check engine light and it says code 31 (MAF problem).

I also have new wires, Dist caps, rotors, and coil on the way.

If none of those fix it...I dunno what I'll do.

Maf replacement seemed to have cleared up the bucking but there is still some hesitation like mentioned above.

try seafoaming it. haven't done it myself, but ppl on here have done it i think and they said the engine runs WAY better. smoother idel, accleration, etc. maybe the seafoam will clear away what eva's causing it. idk. just a suggestion if haven't done that yet.

Peace out

A Soarer I got had bad bucking problems during accel. It also smelled terrible and felt like it was running on 2 cylinders. The problem for me was the little hose came off the MAP sensor. Stuck it in and ran fine but I realize the 1J is a bit different.
