That totally sucks, I would be heated. Maybe good excuse for some fender work while you're at it.

Got it quoted at one shop so far: Total for the Rear fender (cut and weld) door, and front fender plus paint and labor came to $4100. I figure if half the car is going to be painted, might as well do the other half; and my front bumper is really scuffed up, and my rear is cracked/scuffed, so maybe 97 parts (at least front/rear bumpers) will come in. I have no money now, so after i save up a fair bit...things will come together.

Probably going to see a few more body shops and quote around.

since ur a broke college student.. (just like me) ditch the car... and get another one.. because thats a LOT of damage there.. and thats going to cost a LOT of money.. unless you have hookups or plan on repairing it yourself

and the funny thing is..
i have a sc.. and i ALSo have liability insurance!! :[ well good luck bro!

Why don't you call or pm aliga, he has a bunch of SC's he parts out. Then find a mom and pop shop, or another option is looking for trade schools or paint and body schools in your area and contacting them. let them know if your situation and see if you can have their students/instructors do the work. It might not be the best but it wont cost you much either...

dude dont spend that.

i have the parts for 250, i can hook u up with a body shop that will do it for less than a 1/3 what you getting charged for.

Hit and runs are the worse. I wish people would just fess up. This happened to me while I was at school. I felt like crying after I saw the damage. Well.. actually, I did ;(
