Default O/D Flashing

Guys,

Been through the old posts and have seen it is transmission related - TC, solenoids etc. It was too dark last night to pull the codes so I am doing some research before I get home tonight.

It is from a 92 SC300 which appear to be infamous for this problem. Seems most people have to replace a solenoid or two. What I couldn't find however, is where exactly is this solenoid located. People said they replaced it, but didn't mention where.

Anyone wonder if a flush might correct the problem?

Hard to search for "O/D" in the CL search.

the solenoids are right there underneath the tranny when you take the pan off it......there next to the valve body.....they are pretty easy to change out....

I had a flashing O/D on my soarer (SC400) and the fault was finally tracked down to the main ECU which had some faulty capacitors. I know it is not a SC300 - but if all else fails maybe swap ECU out with a known good one.
