Default installation kit for walbro fuel pump gss341

Is the installation kit necessary for an sc300 or do you guys use the stock wiring? Thanks.

yes use the original wires, your old plug might plug in, if it doesnt then use the supplied adapter "plug" that came with your pump, match the color of the wires splice solder and tape.

I believe you mean shrink wrap instead of tape? At least with me I actually used the crimps supplied and electrical taped it at first. I went back to solder and looks like the tape just got unstuck and left the crimps exposed. I'm not electrical savvy but I'm guessin exposed wires in a gas tank is pretty scary

actually i am sorry dont use electric tape, your right the fumes will actually make the tape not stick anymore, and if you want to use heatshrink make sure you use a heat gun or something similar, i would suggest using a lighter near gas fumes.

I used the small electric plastic twist ons, i dont know what you call them, but basically what electricians use in electric conduits etc. I would believe that is your safest bet. good luck

Is it possible to get the filter and plug adapter separate? I got my pump off a friend who'd had an extra he never used, but all I have is the pump.
