Couple of questions:

1) What material did you cover the panel with? Definitely looks factory! It was pretty much the only thing holding me back from building door panels.
2) Is the armrest complete?

alright here are some pictures of the build in it's final stages, along with a picture of the panel installed. I have a video of the range that the midbass can travel, I'm working on getting it hosted up.

what are the speakers mounted too the door with, or are they mounted to the underside of that enclosure with small screws?

if the later, how are they holding up with use?

Thank you every one for all of your great comments. I'm still smiling every time I get in my car and hear music. I commute about an hour to work each way and this make the drive SO much better. Last night I got finished at around 1045 and drove around till 1230 with the music just cranked up so that I could hear how awesome the setup sounded.

we used vinyl from an upholstery shop that they use on a regular basis. If I had it to do over again i would have sourced out the same leather that lexus used to make it look that much closer but it's not too far off.

we built the armrest into the custom panel, and added some foam underneath the vinyl for padding on your elbow. it's then screwed to the door from the back to add extra support

the speakers and the dark brown vinyl insert are both back mounted. the speakers should hold up just fine since the door is SOLID and very hard to flex. we had to do a little cutting to the metal on the door but nothing major. I then put dynamat over the holes to protect the speakers from rain dripping down onto them.

Hahaha, I haven't been on in forever and I no longer work for the audio shop. If I had to guess they would be in the 2-3K range for all of the work if you went to a shop. They cost me less because one of the custom guys did it on his time off. I can see if he would do another set, it was A LOT of time and effort into them, but I'm sure he'd be down to make some extra cash.
