Default Followup on SOLVED problems, new questions, thanks!

Hi again everyone,

I had some problems on delivery of my 92 SC400 (with 178K!), but thanks to this board (lots of thanks!) I am in great shape!

Turn signal failure: Turn signal fuse. It didn't look like it was bad, but it was. I believe it has something to do with moisture near the bulb in the front driver's headlight assembly.

Horrible missing, especially when cold: IGNITION!!! Cost me big bucks, but I got all factory parts (luckily at 5% over cost as a favor at the dealer) and it's running great. 2 broken wires, 1 arc-ing coil, and 1 loose plug that made it 120K miles somehow (others had been changed). Replaced plugs, caps, rotors, coils, and wires. Took a couple hours, but it runs like a dream!!

Did you know a nose bra covers the front end nicely, even if the lower spoiler is missing? Looks really great.

New questions:
1. Can I spray contact cleaner into the NAK stereo volume button to clean it? It's majorly causing problems occasionally on my stereo system. Also, I'm getting some ERR messages sometimes on the 12 CD changer. Any ideas?

2. Anyone replace the antenna mast before? I bought just the mast/cable assembly, but it looks tough to replace?

3. Backlight seems to be out on temp controls. Repairable?

Thanks again, everyone!!!

Arrow Great cars regardless of the issues....

The forum is truly great for us, isn't it.

- Contact cleaner, It should be fine. I would however, try to remove the face cover, and judiciously (sp) spray the contacts of the buttons.

- Antenna is not too tough, I think there are some posts way in the back about this. If not, email me and I'll see if I can email the manual procedure.

- Yes they are easily - kinda - replaceable. Again covered in earlier posts.

Good luck & enjoy! Too may yucky days here in Indiana for me to have driven mine in weeks...

I used to get errors on my stereo due to the CD changer, but I haven't seen any in 5 months or so.
