In a week you can post pics of your new alternator

PS- you STILL haven't spent 5 bucks on some satin black spray paint to get rid of that front end overspray?!?! LOL.

is there a warning sign besides battery light coming on that the alternator would go out? sucks to drive around then it just dies...

Man that stinks. Good thing you were able to get off the freeway safely. Most likely its the alternator. Should be an easy fix.

check to see if your distributor is leaking oil. if it is then the oil is contaminating the alternator. Change the distributor O-ring if its leaking.

No that would be his PS pump in this case, like everyone else. Even if it didnt leak these alternators were detined for failure being mounted so low. You can alway reverse your alternator if you feel to do so. Instuctions are on lextreme.....

That's a pimp color, need better pics of the detail of the paint.
It sounds like the alternator like everyone else says. Get a heavy duty alternator if you run a lot of electronics.
