What is the reason for putting a v8 maf on a 300?

 

I've know of people putting LS400 MAF's on 7MGTE supras because more air can be read to accomodate for having bigger injectors

 

i also wanna know, does the v8 maf plugs right up to the sc300 maf plug?

 

the actual maf sensor (the black box) is the same part number. The only difference is the size of the opening where the long black column is. So if you look down the maf, that opening you see with the black column and honeycomb is actually larger on the V8 version.
