my dealership was actually one of the cheapest estimates in town. They quoted me $420. Some trans shops quoted up to $800.

My local lex dealership quoted me at something around 600$. A local toyota/lexus shop quoted me at 350$ (4 hours of labor). Guess where I'm going Anyways, I'm definitely planning on a torque converter once the snow season ends...

My thinking is that my car definitely feels SLOW off the line, i'm lucky to even get a chirp from my wheels, the TC will help alleviate that and my planned mods will improve the top end even more. So why not upgrade the TC?

hey hellasboy.....on your website you have listed the SRT superchargers for our car.

A month ago Mo from SRT told me it wasn't possible and he wasn't producing them. ????

Thanks for pointing that out! Actually, several months ago, CL posted some swift racing supercharger specials and they had our car listed. Someone bought the special and I haven't heard anything since. I left it in just in case, but with current discussions, it looks like it isn't possible. That was one of those upgrades which I just list and link to the site that does sell it.

I wonder what happened to the person that bought the supercharger for the SC400...

I'll tell you what happened...........they got a refund.......

Same thing that happened to me when I ordered my HFI/ECU system from Mo back in Sept........I got a refund.

Mo said a supercharger is only possible if the hood is like the one on the autocouture car. Other than that you'll have to spend over 10k like Blown_SC400 did to rearrange everything and do all kinds of work to get a blower on there.

Ah-HAAA I knew it was something like that. I was wondering where they went with all that crap, guess I know now. Nothing wrong with the Auto Couture hood, I'd love to have it.

Default ECU v.s. TC

Very well put guys and no offense taken.

We are not trying to push anyone to do the ECU, TC or anything else.

If you are going to upgrade your SC, you should do it the right way with what is available.

You shouldn't just do any one thing and expect the world.
It is the synergy of all the mods that make a good performing SC.

The stock timing is what really kills our cars. That is what our ECU mod does. You have to also do the TC along with other mods if you want to compete on the street.

I have raced almost every car on the road and have not lost unless we pass 150 mph. I have had some vipers, new vettes, porsche, 300z turbos, supras and others.
I use the high timing program to get off the line quicker and switch to the NOS program after I have traction set on the ground around 30mph.
Even 2 police officers I passed at 120 couldn't catch up.
Too bad I hit a dip, 4 wheels off the ground and bent my rims, oh well.
Believe it when I say the car has potential.

My SC is dialed in pretty well, so if your in CA, stop by for a spin.
I have taken 6 people so far.

Without the NOS I have blown their minds, w/150hp NOS, (well forget about it).

Anyways, www.lexussc400.com
is a company that is here to stay and we are only around to support fellow SC enthusiasts and their need 4 speed!

The reason for the business opening was the lack of support and stupid companies that can't provide what the advertise!!!!!!!!!
NO mentioning any names, but you who frequent clublexus know who they are.

I don't think I'd go that far.. I have to give props to SRT for TRYING to make a kit. As I've said they were fighting a lost cause given that there isn't enough money to be made in the Lexus aftermarket to support a big design house that builds "big" parts like superchargers. SC400.com works since you're a reseller and an owner... The demise of SRT's kits is unfortunate, but inevitable.

Hey bud,

If we put a supercharger up for sale, we will have it in stock first.
None of this pre-ordering and waiting 3 months or more before finding out it won't work.

I called them for over 3 months and they never told me that it might not work out. They should just be straight up.

We have a company that is verrry interested in producing a sc kit for us.

He has done it before and has called me about 4 times to bring down my car. I haven't had time.

My sales manager will probably take his down soon.
We are trying to setup the importing of the headers that Terry in Australia has.

We are even talking to different body kit manufacturers about making our own kit here in the U.S. that will be very affordable.

Well too many projects too little time,
Talk to you later,
Chris

Yeah, I guess you're right... it's pretty messed up to do that.
BTW, if you can get your hands on the Auto Couture body kit for the car let me know..

Smooth,

Can you guys get the 98+ grille? You sell the bumper, but no grill listed on webpage. And if you can how much can you get it for?
