When you say exhaust system, do you mean from the headers back or just from the rear axel back?

Looking for a quite but aggressive sounding headders back offroad exhaust for the SC4. (screw emissions)

Saw some nice headders and an X pipe setup on that guys site in Australia, but it was custom made. Anyone know of a place that sells the complete kit pre-fab? Does that guy want to start selling his kits?

Anyway, Just looking to open the exhaust up so I can upgrade the computer.

I would contact www.cyberauto.com. They list a few variants for muffler systems but which are axel back versus full systems is unclear. I am sure Chris can clarify this for you and also do some research. Post back what you find.

One thing that I have been thinking of having done is to find a real good muffler shop who can fabricate for me a mandrel bent stainless system with high flow cats up front and free flow resonator(s) which would be in front of my big Blitz Nur-Specs.

There's a DSM exhaust shop near the east coast, I can't remmeber their name; but they do good prices for mandrel bends.

check out http://www.dsm.org and see if you can find it... they have their own mandrel bending machine

I know Magnaflow makes free flow resonators, I have Magnaflow mufflers and I am thinking of putting the free flow resonators as my next step. And after that, I am thinking of redoing the piping using Mandrel bent pipes, and after that install a larger X-pipe, which is more like Y-pipe for SC400, I think.

Pete, how are the magnaflows? Do you notice a increase in torque-low end , high end, neither? Is it really noisy and how is the noise? Is it high pitched or pretty low. Doe it increase with speed or lower?

I have not tried any other mufflers but Magnaflow so I don't know how my mufflers are compare to others, but the bottom line is that I really like Magnaflow mufflers. I don't feel any loss in low-end with my mufflers combined with X-Flow K&N filter. My car definitely feel faster when I hit the gas at a stop sign, however, I feel lack of power only when I am travelling about 35-45mph and trying to hit the gas, it feels like there is no power until it hits certain point where my car howls azz (I guess it has to build torque before let it all out). The sound is minimal when driving normal, it's a bit louder compare to the stock system. When you hit the gas, it gives a nice noticeable noise. I could drive you around if you are in LA, I can't describe the pleasure I get but I definitely like it.
