ooh i hear ya.. im in the same situation as you are..
my passenger quarter panel is a goner, my front bumper is a goner, my rear bumper is a goner and my driver side fender is a goner and seems like my hood may be as well. my passenger fender has a dent that can be easily fixed but i might as well replace that if i can get a good deal on some aftermarket fenders. My passenger door is pretty bad too.. not to mention that my passenger side window is now gone haha..
as for the drive.. it still feels the same BUT it does not sound the same and certainly doesnt smell the same. I recently went to a trip to vegas and I was blasting my AC at max and my car started smelling like gasoline. Not to mention that my engine fan makes a loud noise now and.. I'm sure there's a leak somewhere that I have not discovered yet.
As for repairs.. I had to get a new transmission and power steering pump. The shop I went for transmission rebuilt it along with a new torque converter and it seems like my low end speed picked up and my highway speed sucks. Now I'm deciding whether to replace my entire brake setup with tt rears and ls400 fronts, plus new rims/tires.. which will be pretty damn expensive OR just give up on repairs as I figure the expenses on repairs won't do much to restore the car and I'm really beginning to hate the SC4...
If someone can convince me that its worth restoring a SC4, freaking 4spd automatic.. please do so.

enough said.. sc400 is a piece of garbage to upgrade for speed performance, as for luxury.. its nice but too pricy.
i say pricy because a lexus already comes with some luxurious stuff and to get any aftermarket crap on it would be a negative and theres only a few things worth upgrading which is multimedia, alarm, and lights?
the interior is fine if the car is clean.. its gonna be a nightmare to restore or redo stock stuff if not.
i came to the conclusion that the sc4 is more geared towards luxury while the sc3 is for speed..

but it could've been worse, if i wouldnt have hit the curb, i would have hit the wall... most likely the front and back would have been smashed in....lol
