Default SC Front Airdam

Anyone here ever install one that did not come on the car stock? Where did you get it from, a Lexus dealership? How much do they cost? I like the look of the airdam far more than a front end without one, and I want to put one on my SC300...

Matt:
By airdam, are you talking about the thin black rubberish underfittment that was an option on the 1992-94 SC400? This is called the front air foil. These are available from the dealer for about $400 or so. I do not know if they fit the 1995 or beyond models or the SC300 models.

Also, Kamenairi (sp?) has a front end airdam spoiler for the 1992 to 1994 model. This also runs in the $400 range. It needs painting and fitment on top of that price.

Default front spoiler

I've installed the spoiler on my 1994 sc400 and it will fit up to 95 ...if there was no spoiler previously you will have to make holes in the bumper in order to install it

For a brand new install, you must also get the three metal screw in rear stiffeners. These three metal parts fit in behind the stock bumper cover and are what the screws bite into. The deal here is that the screws go thru the underside of the air spoiler, thru the bumper cover and then into the metal stiffener. These stiffeners are made of stainless it appears.
