Default Conservation Question for a motor sitting.

I asked in a thread a while back about whats the best way to prep my SC300 for deployment and got some great answers. I ended up buying a 61K 2JZGE for 550 shipped, that I will completely dismantle and refresh (All gaskets, valve seals, timing belt, cams and gears etc) when I get back from Iraq. The engine is sealed and still has all the oil in it. Should I drain it before I stick it in storage? I've heard an equal amount of answers saying yes and saying no. Does anyone have some experienced answers? I got it from R&J so I'm sure its been sitting for a while already, know what I mean? Seeing as I don't have time to take it apart before I leave it has to sit. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks.

I'd put fresh oil in it. Also, put a couple of drops of oil in the cylinders and turn the crank manually to keep the cylinder walls coated.

I did this and stored a motor for >2years in my backyard without issue. It actually started right up and ran like new when I finally installed it.
