Default removing heat shield???

i know this might be astupid question with a fairly simple answer but how bad of an idea is it to remove the heat shield on the exhaust of my car (sc300), and maybe replace it with some exhaust heat wrap or something from a local autozone or whatever? i was thinkng about it because my heat shield rattles a little bit and its really annoying and im trying to figure out how to solve the problem, thanks guys

if you get metal clasp that go around them, the ones you tighten with a screw driver. that should solve your problem i know it did for me

i couldnt hammer it because theres a couple places where the heat shield is held together (along the seam) that has come apart and they are shaking together and i dont really have any way of hammering them out, if only they could be held together closer or more snugly i think it would help
