One thing did lead to another, as I intend to keep this car, I felt it is worth the investment.

I really am looking forward to getting it back on the road, 3 weeks I hope. Don't want to rush it though.

I am looking at what are supposed to be a good set of s/hand seats this weekend, but if they are no good I know a good trimmer who will re-trim them for me. The steering wheel has been re-trimed in hand stitched leather along with the gear lever.

The EMV touch screen is getting its little problems sorted out and the rest of the interior is not to bad, so it will get a real good clean.

I have had this car for nearly 5 years now and has to be one of the best cars I have owned.

Have also decided to de-badge it as well, so all the holes have been welded up.

Minor update

Did not get much done this week, just setting up the rear lip to see what it would look like. Some minor flaws in the gel coat but that will be repaired .

The painter has been too busy with a heap of other work, but managed to get some booth time today and got the etch primer on.

The rest of the panels are in the booth.

More later as it happens.

Expected cost is going to be around $5,500 ozzy dollars.

The Nexens are really a very good tyre, a lot quieter than the Nankangs and the Falkens I had before. They also appear to be pretty good in the wet, but I haven't pushed them to hard in wet conditions. Our roads over here are not that great.

I can't believe you are spending that much on paint and using one of the cheapest tires on the road...
