Default Thoughts on this body kit....

I was checkin out this body kit to throw on a 92 SC300. Anyone know if this kit is as good as it looks (if it fits nice? hopefully not fiberglass but polyurthane(sp?)) Any thoughts or comments welcome.

That's known over here as the "Snow Plow" body kit. If I had that kit it'd be destroyed in a month..

When talking to the guys at the various body shops, although polyurethane kits do have an upside you should be aware that polyurethane cannot be repaired or patched. Fiberglass can. Poly is somewhat more giving or flexible, it will not crack as easily, however when it does break it does so as a shatter or crack. They implied that it is probably good for side body skirts but less desirable for the front and rear body panels.

I do not know this for a fact but two of them did mention this when they asked what materails the kits were made of.

Yah, I am a bit weary of the front portion of the kit... seems very low. However I really like the sideskirts and rear portions of this kit and may end up just mixing and matching.

It is doubtful that it willl crack for the polyurethane unless, you get in a huge accident. I had a polyurethane front and no problems. The back was fiberglass and had 1 problem once when a rock chip hit the back but, got it fixed.

BTW, had one of those huge snowplow fronts. You could squeeze a person in there. Try not to scoop up any birds if, you decide to install one of those.

Talking

TruDremz I plan on getting black paint. I just purchased Giovanna Essen chrome 20s. Should look completely outrageous

I just want to make sure I get a nice body kit, I really would hate to be one of those idiots with an ugly body kit on nice rims!
