[QUOTE=OhHiChris;8619956]Lol easy, specs are a little weak for the SC, so you will have no problem tucking. If you are tucking, you don't really need to stretch tires.
19x9.5 19x11 +19 in this pic, new wheels shipping in a few more weeks with more aggressive specs. Kinda old pic, running double digit negative offset up front right now with only a roll.
i envy your build so much brotha!

18x10+35 in the front would fit close to flush with a tiny bit of poke if you fit a 255 with minimal camber.

-1 to -2 degrees of camber isn't even that much. It'll make the handle better in turns, and the tire wear isn't that bad if you're used to running soft sticky tires. 18x10+35 should fit pretty close to flush in the rear if you tried fitting a 285/30/18 with -1 degrees of camber.

I am doing some mock up test fits with a 19x11 +10 rear and 255-35 combo. It's somewhat aggressive and have made it fit with a roll/flare. However, the oem tub in the rear wheel well rubs the tire when I am at an aesthetically set height.
My question is, what else can be done so that I can keep it at the height I want, a pull or grind?
Thanks for any input.

Thanks, Jadu.
I'm actually wanting to correct camber and put in a more stout tire, 295 at most. I already have the stiffer 10kg rear spring.
Would grinding the area that rubs (about 3 inches at the very top section of the tub) have any adverse effects on the car's integrity?

19x11 +10 needs a massive stretch and camber to fit. When I was on air, I needed around -5 degrees of camber to clear that tub with my 18x11 +30 with a 275/35/18

I've heard of guys smashing that tub down with a sledge hammer, but you have to be really careful not to dent the outside. It's a reinforcement for the quarter panel, so I wouldn't recommend grinding it out.

I figured it would be something like that. It feels like there's only a .5 inch or so from the inner tub to the outer shell, it's very strong and most of all, half an inch really won't make much a difference at that height with considerations to suspension travel.
At this point, it's either raise the height or different offset wheels.
Thanks, guys.

Hey guys, relatively new SC owner and first time purchasing aftermarket wheels. Looking to hear any advice you all may have. I'm planning on doing the LS400 big brake swap soon and need to replace the OEM 16" five spoke wheels. I'm thinking about getting a set of Gram Lights 57DR 18x9.5 +38 wheels, with RE970AS or RE71R 265/35/18 and 245/40/18 tires on the back and front respectively. I plan on lowering the car 0.5"-1.0" once I get coilovers, stock-like camber. I do not want to roll the fenders if at all possible. Given all that, I have a few questions:
- Will the +38 57DR wheels clear the LS calipers? I did a quick search here and on Google and was only able to come up with a setup that used +22 57DR with rolled fenders. In the future I may get and additional set of TE37SL 18x9.5 +40 (or similar) wheels. Any info on whether those wheels will clear the LS calipers?
- Will the above setup result in any fender rubbing? If not would it be possible to put 275/35/18 tires on the rear and still not have any rubbing? I will be on the stock suspension for some time while I put together the money for a set of MCA Red coilovers so input on fender rubbing with stock suspension and coilovers would be greatly appreciated.
- How much tire stretch will there be on the front tires? I've seen a few setups with 245s on 9.5" wheels that show a bit of stretch. If I understand correctly, there is a difference between the stated "rim width" (the listed 9.5") and the "lip width" (unlisted total width of the wheel?) which seems to determine how stretched the tire appears. I want little to no stretch on my setup and am willing to put 18x8.5 +38 wheels on the front to mitigate excessive stretch.
