well 265/40's are going to be a slight stretch on the rears, and you could run either the 20 or 27 offset, just with the +20 you might have to pull the fenders just a little bit. and if you want to keep the tires looking about the same you should go with a 235/45 up front, it should be about the same stretch. But also take a look at akapaco's really old SC, he had 17x9 et24 up front and ran a 245/40 up front and there was no stretch:

But regardless of all of this info, I and many others think 17s are small on SCs so keep that in mind.

I wish I could go 18s but at the moment that's out of my budget. It's pretty hard to stay in the 800ish range when your looking to get 9s and 10s with s good offset. I was thinking of just running the 19" g35s or the stock is250 wheels but I think it will be tuckin too much. Thank you for the heads up of the 17s looking too small on SC's I'll buy some bigger rims down the road.

How much fender work would i need to make these work? other than just the normal roll and pull? or would i have to use fender flares?
Thanks looks like i might go with the +4 and +3. depending on how much work needs to be done to make these wheels work.
P.S. you guys are the best . . . THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT!!! ill be starting a build thread soon !!! just got a 97 SC3 and also just picked up a aristo 2j auto. Will be sourcing 5 spd swap too!! i have a R154 tranny already from a soarer.
