Yeah I have 215/40's on mine up front and they are skinny as s***
And considering the overall wheel and tire diameter, I was doing some calculating and a 225/40 matches up almost exactly with the stock wheel/tire diameter so it won't mess with the speedo.
Thanks for all the feedback Calitri
Oh and for anyone who wants to know more, here's three GREAT sites for tire sizing:
http://www.jonathanrowny.com/page/offset-calculator
http://www.rimtuck.com/search.php
http://tyrestretch.com/
and for anyone who wanted to know about stock tire sizing to match with new wheel and tire overall diameter:
stock 15 inch rim -15x6.5 et 50 215/60/15
stock 16 inch rim - 16x6.5 et 50 225/55/16
if only someone could measure out the stock hub to fender distance and we would all be set. I would gladly do that but sadly I can't walk for a while

Yea Feds actually run wide though. My rears look like 265s. If I would have done 225/40s front it would have been taller than the rear and probably caused some rubbing with the +12. And SCs barely have much room up front above the tire when your low. Right now its tucked and I still have the fender liners in.

Hey SC guys & gals, if you have any questions about Vossen wheels, let me know!
http://www.vossenwheels.com/CarGalle...VS086-500.aspx
The new CV3 (with 3 finish options) would match the timeless SC styling since it is a classic 5 spoke design! 19" sizes coming soon!
