Default I need direction

OK guys I have come to the point with my SC4 where to do anything more I need to know what direction I want to go in. Now while I am in no way cheaping out in either direction I want a corevette killer with the smallest number of headaches possible and without going completely broke and losing the love of my life for months on end. so

TT 1uzfe with 6spd manual conversion OR 2jz no ***** with 6spd manual or a worked 1jz.

I know since its a SC4 there are challenges with both and space issues. I like Sc400TT's set-up a whole lot. I also know that they have pretty much the same overall potential so I'm torn.

Cost wise which is cheaper...done right of course?

Headache wise which has less cause sometimes if it costs more I'll do that instead

1J is your cheapest method. 350rwhp is attainable for a few thousand in parts. You may need about 450rwhp to beat a new Vette though. And at that level you more thasn likely would need to upgrade to a R134 trans.

Try searching to see what others are paying for swaps to get a barometer.

Since you stated you want the most economical, don't even think about the TT 1UZ. Too many new members here coming on board all set to TT their 400 thinking it can be done for 1500 because they didn't do their homework beforehand. You are looking at 8-10k min for a TT 1UZ, after the trans, upgraded fuel, etc.

A fast 1UZ? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I know thats not what you want to hear but its true. Six speed swap will set you back a lot but on the 1UZ add another couple grand.

1. sorry for the wrong forum I figured since we weren't getting into the nitty gritty it would be fine in the general forum.

I know pretty much all I can know about the 1uz manual swap and how much it cost. That has been my original plan for a while now and I also know that some of the supra guys are swapping to the UZ cause of its potential. I have been on LEXTREME a lot but while they are all brilliant guys there really isn't a whole lot on the about your different options for TTV8 probly cause there is pretty much just not many people into the UZ if the 2j swap is easier and has the same potential. I chose the 400 cause it has a couple options i wanted the 300 didn't so 'm not selling for something else and I have a GS daily driver for while the project is going but I do not in anyway want it taking for ever...not even over a month...I get driving withdrawls.

I'm looking for certain people to chime in here. Def. need some guidance from Scotturnot and hopefully sc400TT cause you guys have probly the best UZ expirience that is documented. I also would like to here from some of the 2jz crew. Goal is 600hp and this isn't going to be a take it to some shop dump it off and have it built thing 5 of my friends and I have been building cars for years were ready for the big challenge. WE just finished a bi turbo s10 cause we were bored and it was the shop car haha.

As of right now the budget sits at $12334 in the bank.... money is not my worry...driveability and just straight up headahes are. I also live in NY so OBD2 issues for inspection are there as well. Iknow that the 6spd conversion alone on the UZ can be upwards of $7000
