Default Engine and tranny mounts

I'm in need of changing my engine and tranny mounts. Whenever the car shifts in takeoffs I feel it inside. I know that it has the orginal mounts installed, never changed.

I was hoping in getting help from the people here as to:

If I can replace all my mounts with supra ones?

Are the newer supra mounts same for the tranny and engine?

Has anyone done this? If so, can you post the toyota p/n & $$?

If anyone has ideas or suggestions, please post.

BTW, I have a 92 sc400.

thanks,

umm, dude i hate to break it to you, but your engine and tranny have absolutely ZERO, ZILCH, NADA in common with a Supra....

if you had a SC300 then it would be possible to use the Supra mounts (N/A 5-speed or automatic mounts)...

go buy SC400 mounts, its not like one is stronger than the other or anything... its all Toyota OEM quality

Hi bean,
I was hoping that lexus used supra engine/tranny mounts. The lexus dealers r charging alot for engine and tranny mounts, especially since the engine takes 2 mounts.

on parts.com they are listed at
$72 for the front mount
and $59 for the rear

not sure where to look for the tranny mount

those prices actually aren't too bad...

Supra engine is a 3.0L I6
the SC400 engine is a 4.0L V8...
two totally different engines...

its POSSIBLE that the transmission mount is the same, but undoubtably different engine mounts...

check out junkyards for used parts i guess is the best you can do
