vibration identified
I just swapped out my stock suspension on Saturday. With hand tools only, it took me the better part of a day, but I can not complain: it was 70 and sunny.
Anyhow, I was working on my final corner (driver front): took off the fender guard, wash bottle, caliper, UCA bolt, and then...
I find that the swaybar endlink bolt was not only not secured properly, but not secured at all. There was no nut to be seen.
My car has always inherited a vibration at about 70mph. I have balanced my tires three times to no avail. Clearly, the vibration has been caused by this endlink not being secured. Clearly, this is also why my car sits ~5mm lower on the driver's side.
I am off to the dealership first thing tomorrow to get the proper nut with the proper threading. Unreal. I am happy to be alive having driven 8k on my SC since owning it in October.

------------
ps. Swift Springs are amazing. The ride is neither stiff nor floaty, but totally controlled. The drop is sensible and really brings the car to new life.
ps. the car sits level now as well.
