This v160 conversion kit is a dream come true.

I bought the SC400 because it's beauty and Supra styling/frame. Now i wanna Pro race the thing. The 5 speed auto ('98+) is nice, but it's slow for a racing application. I even applied for my amature race license this year (pray).

Since money is tight without sponsors, I hope I can piece together this kit and go 6 speed in a year. I hope you guys will be making more and selling these kits over this year.

a) what is the rear diff. ratio in my car?
b) driveshaft... do i just get that fabricated, or is there one that fits?
c) where do i get clutch master cylinder?

also, please post info on that engine that you posted a pic of. that engine is so sexy. i wanna know more about it!

I know there's a thread here on CL listing allof the ratios, and I recall that the SC400 is ~4.15? Somewhere around that. Either way the GS400 ratio is 3.26, and that's perfect for the V160. There are GS's getting rid of their entire rear end all the time, and I picked mine up for $150

Driveshaftshop.com can make you a driveshaft for the V160. There have been a large number of people that have converted the SC300 to V160, and their driveshaft would be the same as yours.

The clutch master cylinder is stock from the Toyota Supra turbo as well as the pedals.

The engine that I posted a pic of is built from top to bottom. A quick rundown is 4.7L, 9.77:1 CR, destined for twin turbo action. The intake manifold is a custom high flow manifold with a Q45 adapter. Here is the link to the build:

and i assume the center console parts including the shift **** and shaft are going to be from an SC300?

The shifter is going to be from the V160, you can use a short shifter or the stocker. The 5 speed center console is from the 5 speed SC as well.

Just to gather all the needs in the thread we need:

MVP Adapter plate,
MVP Clutch kit

Supra Pedals (clutch, break)
V160 Transmission
fabricated Drive shaft
Clutch master cylinder.
Shifter **** and gate.

Anything else needed for the conversion?

there's a 12v jumper to trick the ECU into thinking it's always in Neutral.
What about parking the car? The wheel lock and key removal, how does that work with the Manual?

I took a search on parts.com and came across two very different prices, $1,800 and about $4,800. Both have very little desctiption. Did the v160 come with the TT and NA Supra?

I'm saving up my cash now, when is the next group buy? I know tooooo many questions. I'm just excited for this chance. I'm dying to get on the track.

9.77 isnt considered too high for a Turbo motor?

Not so much. Folks like to kep it lower for safety, but since I'm going tobu running C16 full time, it's not much of a worry. Generally I recommend 8.5:1 or 9.0:1
