2 1JZ-GTE questions
ok, it is very obvious to me that i need to replace the plugs in my car. the plugs on island are crazy priced (13-25$ a piece) and i dont want to pay that much. i am flying to the states tomorrow and will surely hit up a autozone or napa to get plugs. soooooo... what plugs do i get? and #2 what head gasket can i get to boost compression a little bit? any help will be great. thanks, Dave

I just picked up some NGK iridiums, If you are on stock boost .33 gap is good , if you are single, bring it down to about .25 so you don't start breaking up uptop.
Also I would not change the gasket except for the OEM one. Your compression is good for high boost and a lot of HP. IMHO...

NO Not Iridiums, go read Supra Forums and MKIV.com, this has been beat to death there and they are not recommended on the boosted 2jzgte. The most recommended plug for the 2j is NGK 6097 BKR7E. I've had bad luck finding a store (Kragen, Autozone, PepBoys) that had them in stock or had them at a decent price.
Use the 6097 copper because they are just like the stock plugs with the exception of being one heat range colder and non-platinum. Compared to the 3330, the center electrode is smaller which can be beneficial in getting a hotter spark under boost, like oem-plus.
I bought two ten-packs on-line from Rockauto.com. Price is $1.70 each sold in ten packs only and had them shipped, total for 20 plugs $39.67.
