Default steering column rattle on uneven surfaces

So i replaced my bushings thinking they had something to due with this rattle i feel over gravel and rough surfaces, but it did not change. The car has always done it since i have it (87,000 miles) 113,000 now. Today i am replacing the polyurethane bushings i installed with rubber ones and was going to replace the shocks at the same time, but Carson has taken over 3 weeks to get my shock insulators (boots) so the struts will have to wait. The plan is to go to Austin this weekend and get a quality alignment at soulspeed (without new tokico's installed unfortunately) and maybe ask them to look it over, except their diagnostic work is very expensive. I read an old thead at one point that also mentioned this problem on a lower mileage car, but the thread never completed. Anyone have ideas. Its sounds like its in the column or being transferred through, yet i can tug and turn the wheel and have no slack. And just for mention i have replaced my steering rack bushings and my rack has no leaks.
