pretty much have to have the holes filled and sanded down on the truck and the bumper ( so both of those would have to be repainted)
a lot of work and money for just being badgless- do it if you need paint work then it wont be much more to do that also
but it does look clean.. and no one ever knows what kinda car it is ( none car people at least)

the earlier models i know for a fact had holes behind ALL of them, I think the 97+ SCs had holes only behind the big L in the back, the rest were glue...this is what i've read on the forum here from various owners..

97,98,99,00 bodies....same.
97, Face lift, non VVti, 5 spd manual, 4 spd auto (*****-matic)
98 VVti 4spd, Chrome 6 and 5 spoke 16" wheels
99-00 VVti 5spd, gated shifter, 3 spoke steering wheel
I'm pretty sure those are the major changes to the SC300 for that time-line.
(I'm sure someone will correct me since I'm shooting from the hip)

i 2nd that on the earlier models. A couple of 95 and below plus my 92 sc300 all have holes and adhesive on all 4 of the emblems. If i had to paint the car or it was only adhesive holding it, i would shave it. Otherwise i just spray the emblems cuz my gold was fading.

My trunk lid I believe had the holes on my car, but since I had the whole car repainted I told them to fill them in. I forgot if there were holes or not but I bought an adhesive "L" badge in case and now have the option to either have it on or off. I have it on though...IMO you must have the "L" badge
