What struts are blue?
Are factory struts blue? Only reason I ask if because I went a junkyard and they had an SC400 with blue struts and lowering springs. Are blue ones Tokico? How much are they new?
Tokico HP's are blue, Tokico Prodra-G struts are Bronze, Teins are green (If I remember right), Koni's are yellow, KYB's are orange, Illumina's are white, Bilsteins are either blue (old school) or yellow (new school), Gabriels are usually black or blue, (GAB struts are made by Gabriel) and Monroe struts are usually a nasty mid blue color that starts to rust in a matter of weeks or your first trip down a gravel road having fun.
I'm sure there are a few exceptions. Oh, and stock OEM struts are almost always black unless you're talking something like a WRX or EVO.
Of course, the first time you go down a freshly laid asphalt road, they're gonna be black anyway. But gee, a can of spray paint when you put them on can do just about anything, can't it? Rattle can with about 5-8 coats of rattle can clear and you can have a rather durable finish in the color you want..make up some decals with your name on them and slap them on there! Next: Tie Dyed Struts!
