You don't wanna know. I just ran on a local 1/8'th mile track this morning. Powershifting into 3rd (ya I know I shouldn't do that on the 5-speed with this much HP) and KA-POW! No more 3rd gear. Hell, 4th went too.

The car is up at the shop right now, they're putting on my spare 5-speed. DAMN I'm glad I had foresight to buy one I saw on eBay!!

Well...

116octane gas + no retard + 15psi + 10:1 compression + new clutch = time for new tranny.

I'm looking for a 6-speed as I type this too, so I don't keep running thru 5's. Soon as I get this thing taken apart, I'll post pics of the broke gears...LOL

I'm gonna run the 1/8th tonight again, if the car is done in time to register. I got two more hours, and it's real easy to swap these trannies.

note: For anyone looking at turbo'ing their cars....don't let my experience scare ya...you won't be going thru 5-speeds. If you rode with me for 5min, you'd wonder how my car still runs at all...heh I don't drive *nice*....ever.
